Ganja Granny Sez LEGALIZE MEDICAL MARIJUANA NOW! 11/30/10
Ganja Granny sez Legalize Marijuana! Legalize Medical Marijuana NOW! Release the prisoners! Stop the arrest of Medical Patients! This past weekend we(Myself and other volunteers) were in the streets of the South Bronx in NY trying to gain public support from that area by giving local citizens an opportunity to be aware of the importance of Medical Marijuana. We asked those who support a patients right to legal medical cannabis to call on their district area’s “Senator Rubin Diaz.” Senator Diaz is undoubtedly the Fly In The Ointment. We need local citizens and all citizens of NY to call upon Senator Diaz to let him know what the public wants for their sick and dying. Senator Diaz is also a Pentacostal Minister. We hope our pleas will not fall on deaf ears and that he will open his heart to the teachings of Jesus Christ whom he believes as all Christians believe, is the Son of God. A Merciful, Compassionate God who is the Grand Master and Author of our entire universe including the wondrous plant of Hemp. There is nothing in the bible that declares hemp/cannabis/marijuana as being an abomination. If you pray at all, pray that Senator Diaz will see the light and serve the needs of his community who are ill and would benefit from medical marijuana as their alternative choice to prescribed opiates. Pray for our Legislators here and everywhere who are faced with voting on this issue. Pray…. they will “do the right thing” and vote a unanimous YES!…. In the meantime Ganja Granny is definitely on a mission to see that Kenneth Unger, a 100% disabled Navy Veteran receives the justice he deserves. There are people from all walks of life from different parts of this country who are sick or at this very moment may be on their deathbed who should have the right to choose which medication will work for them. When all else fails it is and remains an alternative choice. We are fighting for the rights of NY STATE patients as well as for others, who will benefit from legal medical marijuana in the United States of America.
Kenneth Unger is a 52 yr old 100% disabled Vet, residing outside of ST. Louis in the state of Missouri. He served in the US Navy from 1980 to 1984. He was awarded a NAVY EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL for his service in Grenada where he was injured during combat. In 1994, after many years of unsuccessfully trying to remain gainfully employed, finally applied for VA benefits. Suffering a seriously painful degenerative disc disease which rendered him unable to continue working. He was finally approved for 100% disability in 2001. He had13 years of opiate based pain control and suffered 3 major heart attacks with 6 stents now in place in his heart in addition to other various medical problems. I have not talked to his attorney and according to Mr.Unger he has not made a plea or begun trial. His attorney has not received the police report or anything else since his arrest on 9/9… According to Mr. Unger, there has been little communication with his attorney. The judge he is to appear before 12/20 has previously ruled in another case that Medical Marijuana is not a defense. Mr. Unger is seriously concerned as to what his defense could possibly be since he was also informed he could not muddy the waters by bringing it up.He admits to possessing 2 plants that were in a secured locked place away from his wife and 11 year old son. He never indulged in his son’s presence. It was always in his basement so he would not bother or annoy his family or neighbors. He stated he was the sole person possessing the key. He has never sold any cannabis and never intended to sell any. It was only for personal use to help relieve his pain and the depression he endured as a result of pain. He further states, he contacted me out of desperation not knowing where to begin or how to defend himself or should he rely completely on his attorney who was recommended to him by an inmate he met while waiting for 2 weeks to make bail. His wife had to borrow the money because they subsist solely on his Government Service pension and SSI. He has never been in trouble or arrested before this incident. He has also told me he was extremely tired from fighting and sick from anxiety and worry. His biggest concern being how his actions have caused his wife and son to fear losing him in the prison system if he is convicted. He concludes he will have to move from Missouri if he is is free to do so. If Missouri intends to keep medical marijuana illegal he has no alternative but to move his family to a state where it is legal. He intends to do this, to alleviate his wifes fear of losing him and all their worldly possessions, He does not want his son to continue fearing the the police busting into their home at any given moment. We cannot allow this to happen to anyone, let alone a man who has served our country, has no criminal record of any kind, 100% disabled with a wife of 16 yrs and a son who love him and need him. I am contemplating flying to St.Louis to be there in court with him to show my support. Ganja Granny sez we need to pack that courtroom with supporters. We need to publicize this atrocity. We can’t sit around toking away while Kenneth Unger faces up to 15 years in prison for committing an illegal act that NEVER should have been illegal in the first place……Ganja Granny sez Keep it Lit and Pass It On! Last but not least: Many thanks to our volunteers Chris, Alex and Greg… They deserve much praise for their professionalism in meeting with the citizens of the South Bronx on Saturday 11/27. We need more dedicated people like them to help make Legalization a reality. Ganja Granny sez God Bless all the GOOD STUFF COMING YOUR WAY!STAY BLAZED!
MARIJUANA AND THE BIBLE
And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. (Ezekiel 34:29)
“The Lord said unto me, ‘I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs.’ ” — Isaiah 18:4-5

1) What is the Word of God concerning marijuana, or cannabis hemp ?
The hemp plant (scientific name: cannabis, slang name: marijuana) is but one of the many useful herbs “yielding seed after its kind” (Genesis 1:12, 29) blessed by God on the third day of creation for people to use in conjunction with our free will. The only place in the Bible where Cannabis was mentioned by name got switched into ‘calamus’ by the King James translators as part of a holy ointment (described in Exodus 30:23).
The Bible also predicted prohibition: “In the later times, some shall … speak lies in hypocrisy … commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” (Paul: 1 Timothy 1-4) Nowhere in the Bible does it say people cannot grow, possess, use or even smoke cannabis or that hemp is bad. In fact, quite the contrary: “God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth.…To you it will be for meat.’ … And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:29-31)
