GANJA GRANNY sez ROLL TIGHT!
GANJA GRANNY sez Roll Tight! We are not turning around! We are going full speed ahead! Everybody must stick together. Put aside all our insignificant differences. Concentrate on our goal to legalize. Nothing should deter us from reaching our goal.. Unless…. you intend to continue another millennium without a legal hit! …..Last Thursday, the 27th of March, I attended a well organized protest in Manhattan(NYC) against our Illustrious Mayor who has admitted to indulging in cannabis and LIKING IT A LOT! Why would anyone protest against a guy like that… a man this savvy, someone who knows the effects of cannabis???????…. The only difference is his Stop N’ Frisk orders that will never apply to him.. There was a number of protests in 2011 and for a short time, maybe 2 months? the mayor and his police dept. laid low… not off… but very low. It was a pseudo truce! When they sprang into action again… it was worse than before. Our mayor who is in his last term has never been paid. He refused the salary that went with the job!… HEY! With all his dough… I thought at the time, it was a great gesture on his part..Actually with all his dough.. I think he should reimburse New Yorkers the 75 PLUS million of taxpayers dollars spent in 2011 on NYC minor marijuana arrests which are directed predominantly at people of color. And what about the more than 600 MILLION in the last decade? The demonstration was peaceful, respectful and direct to the point. There were no side trips, no ignorant name calling, no limited vocabulary insults and cursing. The people that came to this protest were neat, clean and mentally sharp and on top of there game. They did not waste a minute of the time their permit afforded them. Among the many protesters were, our dear Paul De Rienzo Host of cables’ “Let Them Talk” taking pictures… Nate Riley, retired political strategist, Professor Harry Levine who is known for his extensive detailed research on the archaic marijuana laws, etc…..Again I must say, Ganja Granny was impressed with the civility of this most serious protest and of course V.O.C.A.L… and their spokesman, Community Organizer Alfredo Carrasquillo, along with Community Leader Ms. Elizabeth Owens… I apologize for not getting everyones’ name. A marvelous job was done by all….. On the same toke of thinking, I came across on the FB.thiis post of instructions for an event in D.C.. … “Please leave your weed and pipes, at home. We want to make a point, not give the law more reason to keep marijuana illegal!
This event is to demonstrate what We The People think and feel on the issue pertaining to marijuana and the hemp industry.
Marijuana: Medicinal comes first. If our Federal Government won’t allow states their rights on issuing medical marijuana dispensaries then the mere thought of recreational use is an issue that won’t even be considered. The use of marijuana whether it be medicinal or recreational needs to be tackled at a federal level before anything else.
Hemp Industry: Our government seems to own it’s own hemp industry. Why can’t the people? We are all tied up in trying to make our economy better at this time. If the people were able to participate in America’s #1 cash crop, it would significantly help our economic troubles. We would be able to cut down less trees and research alternative fuel sources.” ………… …..I want to echo the same words to everyone who will participate in the NYC March/rally to be held Saturday, May 5th…In the meantime if you are interested in being a part of history in the making.. then by all means.. If you believe in basic civil rights then please volunteer at the Yippie Museum located 9 Bleeker St in NYC or contact me via Email Ganjagrannysez@greenribbonworld.com or on FB NYC CANNABIS MARCH 2012..Don’t underestimate your talents or ability to participate.. AS always, I hope its the last time ever we need to march, rally, demonstrate, etc. regarding this event…However, reality dictates we must mobilize our resources and do it again… like the above message states, leaving all our goodies at home… We have a vigilant, well trained police force and you will get arrested..IT IS NOT LEGAL! Not even on the day of the March! It is counter productive to our aim to gain the publics support to LEGALIZE and to get our message out there in general..We need to show society we are society… We are ALL one and the SAME.. No one gets out of this world alive. Ganja Granny sez KEEP IT LIT! God Bless ALL the GOOD STUFF coming your way..Wear a GREEN RIBBON to show supportREMEMBER! YOU GOTTA GIVE.. IN ORDER TO GET!
